Tasting Notes: 2012 Woodland Hill Winery Northwoods Red Blend - Minnesota Uncorked™

Tasting Notes: 2012 Woodland Hill Winery Northwoods Red Blend

Wondering about the age-ability of #coldclimatewines? This 2012 Northwoods from Woodland Hill is still going strong: a rustic aroma, not unlike fire-roasted tomato skins, ripe red cherry juice, and baking spice. Medium+ acidity, medium- body and medium- tannin, flavors match the nose. Semi-dry balances the tart acidity. A very approachable, well-balanced wine.

The perfect pairing for this rustic wine with bright acidity? A rustic, tomato-based tortellini soup!
