MN-UN: How would you describe how you got your start in the business?
WM: After taking home a few amateur ribbons for our homemade wines, we decided to try expanding from just growing grapes to sharing our high quality, unique wines with others!
We grew so fast that we expanded the first three years and are very proud to be a recognized label for exceptional Minnesota wine.
MN-UN: Of the wines you produce, which is your favorite & why?
WM: Aurora Borealis, a port style wine – it goes so well with foods and especially chocolates. If you’re a cigar smoker, try a full-bodied cigar to bring out a touch of spice and leather.
(Editor’s note: as a chocoholic and several time visitor to Wild Mountain Winery – I can’t believe I’ve never tried it this one – adding to my “must try” list!)
MN-UN: Tell us about a unique wine or wine-related related products you have at Wild Mountain Winery?
WM: Several unique new items are on the drawing board…
How about a selection of sausages made with Frontenac Wine?
And, even bar soaps made with Wild Mountain Wine.
MN-UN: What is something about your business, that you wish more people knew?
MN-UN: What’s the best “bang for your buck” wine or cider (not made by you)?
WM: Seattle Cider, Dry Apple Cider
MN-UN: What is your favorite wine-related gift to give, or receive?
WM: A groupon gift for a wine tasting.
