Smoked salmon spread recipe - Minnesota Uncorked™

Smoked salmon spread recipe

This smoked salmon spread makes a great smear for bagels, or you can use it as a dip or spread for crackers or baguette — and for my favorite nordic treat, lefse!

Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
3 oz smoked salmon, chopped
1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 c plain greek yogurt or sour cream
1 tsp Penzeys Parisian seasoning or dill
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
1 tbsp capers
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
pinch of salt

Tools
Cutting board, knife, small food processor (optional, but I really love my Cuisinart Smart Stick, because it triples-down as an immersion blender and power whisk)

Recipe

  1. Add cream cheese, lemon juice, greek yogurt/sour cream, salt and pepper to a food processor and process for about 10-15 seconds.
  2. Add the Penzeys Parisian seasoning, fresh chives, capers and smoked salmon, the pulse three times. Scrape the sides of the food processor, then repeat 3-4 more cycles of pulsing/scraping the bowl, until the ingredients are evenly distributed but some chunks of salmon remain.
