Tasting Notes: 2016 Parley Lake Barn Quilt Red (Frontenac & Marquette) - Minnesota Uncorked™

Tasting Notes: 2016 Parley Lake Barn Quilt Red (Frontenac & Marquette)

Barn Quilt Red is consistently my favorite wine from Parley Lake Winery (Waconia, MN).

Flavors of juicy ripe cherry and vanilla, spice and savory notes, bright acidity and soft tannins. A blend mostly Frontenac with some Marquette. Paired here with a tasty Bulgogi bowl – wine might have been a touch fruit-forward for the food, but the acidity in the wine played well with the acidity in the sauce & pickled cucumbers.
