Round Lake Vineyard and Winery’s 2015 Marquette Reserve is a vibrant, deep ruby color with clean nose, and medium+ aroma intensity: white pepper, cherry, black currant, black tea, hint of vanilla, and some medicinal/green aromas — eucalyptus or currant leaf. Dry with medium+ acidity, medium, soft tannin, medium+ alcohol, and medium body. Medium+ flavor intensity that matches the nose, with a medium-long finish of sweet cherry and vanilla flavors. Good length, intensity, complexity, concentration, and a very good example of a Marquette wine. Good now, and has the structure to hold up another few years!
Tasting Notes: 2015 Marquette Reserve from Round Lake Vineyards and Winery
A world-class example of one of my favorite hybrid reds, Marquette.
