Les Dames d’Escoffier returns April 30 with the best food, best drink, best women chefs & best time you’ve ever had!
Some of the Twin Cities’ most creative kitchens are led by women chefs. They delight us with their skills and also inspire young women pursuing culinary careers.
On Sunday, April 30 Les Dames d’Escoffier (LDEI), an international organization of women leaders in the fields of fine food, beverage and hospitality, bring you “Dame It!” — an event featuring a wide variety of women chefs and local purveyors — offering a delicious array small plates, wine tastings, craft cocktails, mocktails and sweets.
LDEI’s mission is to help educate and mentor women in the industry. Dame It! Will raise funds for two worthy causes: local culinary students, and the youth gardening project, Urban Roots. A silent auction fundraiser will also take place with items ranging from cookware, to dinners, classes, and opportunities such as joining Star Tribune restaurant critic Rick Nelson to review a meal.
The event takes place on Sunday, April 30 from 2-5 pm at Loring Social (1625 Hennepin Ave., in Minneapolis). Tickets, $85 (of which $45 is tax deductible, can be purchased here. Ample free parking is available east of The Basilica under the freeway, or in the MCTC Parking Ramp east of Basilica.
